We’re just back from opening our mountain cabin up for the summer.
Every time I am at the cabin I come back renewed. It’s the only place I know of that can do this for me. Once I step out of the car and into that fresh, mountain air any cares or concerns that I might have seem to be left behind. Maybe it’s the air, maybe it’s the water, maybe it’s the lack of reliable internet and cell reception, but whatever it is I know that I need it every so often just to keep myself balanced.
We did do our fair share of work while we were there but we also got in a bit of fun.
So the cabin is ready for the summer and we’ll be back there in a few weeks. Until then, I’ve got a pretty full schedule. First up is tomorrow night. I’ll be speaking at the Ft. Vancouver Knitting Guild. I’ll also have my trunk show and some patterns for sale, including my new design, Raptor Ridge. Come by and see me if you can. I’ll be there from 7:00-9:00 pm.
After that I’ll be at Port Ludlow for our next Strung Along Retreat: Knit, Play Cook. I’m so looking forward to this, especially the Community Marketplace which is open to the public! I know I’ll be doing my fair share of shopping.
And during all of this there may or may not be some new designs coming out…
I’m back, I’m rested and I’m ready!
p.s. Don’t forget about my birthday sale going on through June 13th!
